Journey Through the Chakras - Sacral Chakra

Image
I believe this is the first time I'm talking about this subject here on the blog, but followers of my YouTube Channel and Facebook page already know that I've decided to journey through each of the chakras, month by month, focusing on the energies of one chakra at a time. January kicked off the journey with the Root Chakra, and the theme of course was grounding, and centering into my body, my life, and focusing on waking up my healthy, vibrant me. It involved me eating a lot of red foods, eating better in general, beginning an exercise program, and spending a lot of time in meditation, both balancing my chakras, and learning to just BE, to just sit, and feel, and not try to change anything, judge my feelings, or even watch my breath. I committed myself to daily smoothies, and I kept up with that practice for the most part. The other thing I'm proud of? I haven't once talked smack to myself for falling off the bandwagon, or missing a day, or anything like that. Being ge…

Nature, and getting better.

If you follow me on YouTube, or are personally involved in my life, then you will know by now that I have been sick a lot in 2013. In fact, at the doctor's last week, I pulled up a list of my medications from 2013, and I was on antibiotics a total of 8 times, and also had I believe, another 3-4 viral infections mixed in there as well. That means on average, I was sick about once a month, but actually, I managed in March to cram 3 illnesses in there, including tonsilitis and 2 colds, and in December I managed to get a cold, and then viral gastro enteritis at the same time, and it landed me in hospital for 8 hours. I think there's a saying that if it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing, but when it comes to this type of thing, I think not.

So, at the beginning of the year, I decided not to make a resolution, like everyone else, and then blow it, but to simply try everyday, to do something that would help me to better take care of myself, so I wouldn't get so sick all…

Focus on the Cards: How long to?

Image
I’ve been reading and watching a lot of material about Tarot lately, and there seems to be an idea floating around out there about working with and bonding with your deck, card by card, to deepen your understanding and connection with it. This idea has been to either work through the deck in order, or to randomly pick a card every *insert time frame here* and journal and focus on it, and see what it means for you, until you’ve worked through the whole deck. A lot of people recommend spending a week with each card, but I’ll be honest, that is just too damn long for me, lol! It would take you a year and a half to get through the whole deck, and that’s only on an individual basis, that would not even begin to cover how cards relate to each other, or other things like archetypes, etc. I’ve decided upon a card about every 1-2 days, depending on whether or not I work or have a lot of obligations that day. Each day or so I will draw a card, and focus on it. I will research the meanings in my…

What doing Tarot and Oracle readings online has taught me.

Well, I think we could all pretty much see this post coming, couldn't we? Anytime there is a big shift in someone's life, there are going to be lessons to be had from it, and my decision to offer readings professionally has really been no exception. In the short time that I've been doing readings for other people, I have learned a few key lessons. Hopefully, this post will help you, a potential querent, and myself, the reader, to grow and learn from these experiences.

First, your own personal style is not going to be for everyone. I was fairly aware of this before I started, but I've become more aware of it since then. Since I have a very strong moral and ethical standpoint on a few things, like doing readings about when something will happen, absent third-parties, and for assessing people's emotional states, I realize that I will not be able to read for just anyone and get great feedback. Some people really want to know what it set in the future, and some people r…
